In mitigating the impact of climate change HiH EA encourages the application of ecological concepts and principals in farming.This promotes farming practices that; Mitigate climate change – reducing emissions, recycling resources and prioritizing local supply chains.

GUNVOUR ECO FARMING

The project recognized that farmers in Njabini were not producing optimally, lacked access to better markets and lacked access to good quality inputs; contributing to low yields, low profits and entrapping them in a poverty cycle.

Enterprise Development for Rural Families (EDRF III) Project

Enterprise Development for Rural Families (EDRF) is a project funded by Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and is being implemented by Hand in Hand Eastern Africa (HiH EA) in seven (7) counties of Baringo, Nakuru, Nyandarua, Kajiado, Laikipia, Machakos and Makueni.

Social Economic Empowerment (SEE) Project

The Social Economic Empowerment (SEE) project in Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties, in Kenya is funded by Lind Invest. Hand in Hand Eastern Africa, through its Eldoret branch, is implementing the project, which will run from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2026.

LIND INVEST PROJECT

The Lind Invest project is a community uplift project being implemented in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. The project aims to improve the social and economic well-being of 7,500 residents of Eldoret. It seeks to diversify their livelihoods and income amongst residents of Uasin Gishu County (Eldoret) through sustainable entrepreneurship and societal recognition.

On The Farm And Beyond.

The project responds to the alarming environmental degradation and falling agricultural productivity affecting entrepreneurs in Kenya. With nearly 70% of Hand in Hands members working on farms, environmental sustainability is an essential contributor to supporting enterprise survival and improved livelihoods.
