Hand in Hand EA Kenya

From Innovation to Recognition: Hand in Hand, Eastern Africa Shines at Nakuru ASK Show

Hand in Hand, Eastern Africa proudly joined the vibrant Nakuru Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show on 31st June to 5th July 2025, standing shoulder to shoulder with our dynamic members from the Nakuru and Kabarnet branches. This annual event, a cornerstone of Kenya’s agricultural calendar, provided a powerful platform for our entrepreneurs to showcase their ingenuity, resilience, and enterprise.

Day One Triumphs: Entrepreneurs Leading the Way

From the very start, our accelerator cohort members made waves:

🥇 1st Place – CBO Category

🥉 3rd Place – Manufacturer & Agro-Processing Category

These accolades are more than just trophies—they are a testament to the transformative power of entrepreneurship. Our members presented innovative products and services that not only impressed judges but also inspired fellow exhibitors and attendees.

A Platform for Purpose

Throughout the five-day event, our beneficiaries demonstrated the tangible outcomes of our mission: building self-reliant, job-creating businesses that uplift communities. Their presence at the show amplified the voices of grassroots entrepreneurs and highlighted the strategic impact of our programs in rural and peri-urban Kenya.

Grand Finale: Crowned Best NGO Project

The final day brought a momentous close to an already stellar week. We were honored to host Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, EGH Mutahi Kagwe, at our exhibition tent. His engagement with our entrepreneurs underscored the national relevance of their work and the value of inclusive enterprise development.

The crowning achievement?
Best NGO Project Award – a prestigious recognition of the dedication, resilience, and collaborative spirit that defines Hand in Hand Eastern Africa.

This victory belongs to our entrepreneurs, our partners, and our staff. It reflects the strength of our model, the power of community-driven innovation, and the bold impact of strategic support. As we continue to empower more individuals across Kenya, events like the Nakuru ASK Show remind us why we do what we do—and how far we have come. Here is to top honours, bold impact, and the journey ahead.
