In response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation in Kenya and the region, and in line with the advisory of the Kenyan Government on a raft of measures aimed at curtailing the spread of the COVID-19, Hand in Hand Eastern Africa considers that more movement and social interactions can accelerate infections and spread of COVID-19.
Recognizing that the safety and well-being of all our employees and members is a priority, we have suspended all branch operations including field activities and trainings for our members effective 17th March 2020 until 30th March 2020 when we shall review this position and issue further communication.
Our offices will remain closed and where necessary employees will work from home. Email and mobile lines of communication with the staff and management remain open and can be used to maintain essential access during the period of disruption. By taking this action, we are encouraging our staff and members to observe self-quarantine, social distance and hygiene practices as communicated by the Government.
We are constantly monitoring the developments and will make adjustments, take action and issue further guidance in the near future, based and depending on the situation.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience this will cause to our stakeholders while praying and taking action for an end to the pandemic.
